If you are familiar with our existing Family Pack, then this new Summer Family Pack is a change. The is selected from our most popular meat that we sell to you. By thinking about what you buy from us, we are trying to make it easy for you to plan for a week’s worth of meals and more, if you make for the freezer. See below for our suggestions. 

As ever, you can customise your pack by choosing either a fresh chicken, a gammon joint, a loin of pork or a topside of beef. For a family of 4, the meat portion of the suggested 7 meals work out on average at £1.93 per head.

By thinking about what you buy from us, we are trying to make it easy for you to plan for a week’s worth of meals and more, if you make for the freezer. See below for our suggestions. 

As ever, you can customise your pack by choosing either a fresh chicken, a gammon joint, a loin of pork or a topside of beef. For a family of 4, the meat portion of the suggested 7 meals work out on average at £1.93 per head. Not so bad?

The full contents are:

  • 1kg Lean minced beef
  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 4 Lamb chops
  • 4 Boneless pork chops 
  • 4 6oz Beef burgers

Your choice of either

  • 5lb (approx. 2.4kg) fresh chicken***(see note below)
  • 3lb  (approx. 1.4kg) gammon joint
  • 2lb (approx. 910g) loin of pork
  • 2lb (approx. 910g) topside of beef.

And Breakfast

  • 8 Slices back bacon
  • 12 Traditional chipolata sausages

Monday 
Lean Minced Beef 
What about making a bolognese or chilli or meatballs with our fresh, lean mince? With 1 kg of mince, there should be some left over for the freezer. 
Tuesday 
Lamb Chops 
Lovely. Grilled with garlic and rosemary or perhaps coated with a sauce? 
Wednesday 
Chicken Breasts 
Keeping it lean, what about a great and healthy chicken salad with you fresh, english chicken breasts? Or perhaps a “Murgh” tikka curry to beat the curry house?
Thursday 
Boneless Pork Chops
Tend to work well grilled but try it with herbs such as fennel or herb and lemon? Delicious. 
Friday 
Surely it has to be fish? Our meat is great but not every day! Balanced diet people!
Saturday 
Beef Burgers 
When I was a kids we used to have “if its” as in “if its burgers, you will be lucky!” Go on, knock yourself out with a lovely burger creation for a Saturday night, to beat Byrons! 
Sunday Roast 
And finally, of course, it is Sunday! 

  • 5lb (approx. 2.4kg) fresh chicken
  • 3lb  (approx. 1.4kg) gammon joint
  • 2lb (approx. 910g) loin of pork
  • 2lb (approx. 910g) topside of beef.

Any Day
We all deserve one, great English Breakfast in a week, don’t we? Alpen or Special K all the rest of the time, obviously. Add in breakfast if you want!

 Seasoning in sausages contains gluten

***Occasionally we might run short of chicken (it is unlikely) and we will substitute topside. Please make a note in the order if you wanted pork or gammon.

Shipping Policy

We are no longer open for retail "walk in" business" as a result of Covid 19. This will continue until restrictions are lifted. However, we are currently providing a full click & collect service and local delivery to all areas within 20 miles of Joy Street, Barnstaple, with our refrigerated vans. Our website contains our full range of fresh meat products.

LOCAL DELIVERY

We are offering a free delivery service for all orders within 20 miles driving distance of our shop if your spend is at least £60.00.

If you are within 5 miles of Joy Street a £4.00 fee if you are more than 5 miles from Joy Street but within 20 miles then a £6.00 delivery fee will apply.

Please note that the delivery date is not guaranteed and we may need to change it. If we do need to change it, we will contact you.

You will get automated messages on your mobile and through email from our systems as the butchers prepare your order, when it is put on the van and when it on it's way to you. You will also be able to track delivery via the link in the email. Don't worry if the van doesn't follow what you may think is the obvious course! There is method (and software) in our madness.

Our drivers will not require a signature, but will take a picture using our app as our proof of delivery.

CLICK & COLLECT

Place your order online via the website or through the Facebook shop facility and select 'Click & Collect' at the checkout. You will be able to enter a date on which you wish to collect the order. Payment for your order will be taken online and the order itself is immediately sent to the shop for preparation.

Please note that it is important that you stick to the chosen collection day. We will likely be preparing orders shortly before the collection times. If there are any problems with your order we will contact you.

You will receive automated notifications by text and email as the order goes through our systems and the butchers prepare your order for you. When collecting your order, please have your order number to hand to help our butchers bring your order out to you.
